ProductCart 5.x Themes

ProductCart 5.x comes with several design themes included.  You can swap your design theme quickly and easily via your Control Panel, by going to Settings | Store Settings | Store and Display Settings.  Then choose the Display tab. Available Themes will show up in the drop-down menu titled "Select Theme."

Basic

The "Basic" themes use HTML5 and CSS3.  If the mobile storefront is enabled via your Control Panel then your website becomes responsive mobile, delivering pages to smaller mobile screens via AWD (Adaptive Web Delivery).

The Basic Blue theme is the default ProductCart 5.x theme that is active "out of the box."

Bootstrap

The "Bootstrap" themes are mostly responsive themes that come with ProductCart, however the v5.0 and v5.1 Bootstrap themes still use the number of columns defined in the ProductCart Control Panel for the Category Display pages. In versions 5.2 and higher, bootstrap uses  internal columns to take advantage of the built-in responsiveness. The value specified in the control panel is a ‘Max’ number of columns, but the columns collapse as the screen size gets smaller.

It is not necessary to enable Mobile via your Control Panel with these themes, however you should review both options to see which you prefer for your store.
